Tuomas Blom joins Vuono Group as a Full Stack Developer from Capgemini.
Tuomas is a senior full stack software developer and architect with over 15 years of experience. Before joining Vuono Group, Tuomas worked at Capgemini for 14 years as a lead developer and solutions architect for several industries, mainly doing enterprise Java projects.
Tuomas has studied computer science at The University of Helsinki and he holds numerous different IT certifications. He is a certified AWS Solutions Architect, Sun Certified Java Programmer, Certified Scrum Master, and TOGAF certified.
“I had been looking for a change for a long time. I wanted to find some place with smaller teams and shorter projects, but more greenfield and more effectiveness. While I’ve mostly worked in Java, I’ve always considered myself something of a polyglot, and was hoping for a chance to work with a wider variety of languages. With close to two decades of experience in software development, Tuomas brings a vast amount of knowledge and know-how to the Vuono Group team. Tuomas is especially experienced in the Java ecosystem, but is also fluent in other languages, and an expert in databases, lean development practices and cloud architectures. He can view processes holistically, including from the point of view of end-users, while ensuring that key business objectives are always in focus. Tuomas truly embodies the mission of Vuono Group, especially when it comes to bringing hardcore software engineering back.

Tuomas is a true tech nerd in the best sense of the term. He has been learning coding for 30 years, he has a stash of electronics components he never has time to work with, and when he’s running he listens to technology podcasts.
A dream project for Tuomas would combine electronics, machine learning, automation, touchless human-computer interaction and beautiful visualisations. While many of Tuomas’ personal hobbies revolve around computers, he spends most of his spare time with his family, preferably outdoors. On a perfect day they leave home early, bicycle lazily around the town, eat in parks, swim, drink good coffee, have ice cream and return home after the sun has set. And when their child is asleep, Tuomas and his spouse do a crossword puzzle in the candlelight.
